Content Submission Policy (CSP)
Version 1.0 — August 2026
This Content Submission Policy (“Policy”) explains what users may upload to
Autowa and what content is prohibited. These rules exist to protect privacy,
prevent harassment, and ensure Autowa is used only for lawful documentation
of traffic-related events.
1. Allowed Content
Users may upload media that documents traffic-related events, including:
- Vehicles in public spaces
- License plates (treated as vehicle identifiers)
- Roadway conditions
- Traffic infractions
- Unsafe driving behavior
- Environmental context relevant to the event
All submissions must be directly related to documenting a traffic event.
2. Prohibited Content
Users must not upload any media that contains personal or sensitive
information unrelated to a vehicle itself. Prohibited content includes:
- Any image linking a vehicle to a specific person
- Any image of a vehicle with faces, occupants, or identifiable individuals
- Any image readily linking a person to a specific place and time
- Any minors
- People as the primary subject
- Attempts to identify or dox vehicle owners
- Pictures associating licence plates to house numbers, driveways, or private property
- Media taken that violates the expectation of privacy
- Harassing, defamatory, or abusive submissions
- Blood, gore, injury or person(s) suffering trauma
- Promoting crime, hatred, terrorism, prohibited groups, and other content illegal under law
- Content unrelated to traffic events
- Content you do not have permission to upload
Submissions containing prohibited content will be deleted.
2.1 Discouraged Content
Content that is legally clear but requires good judgement. Please respect the privacy and rights of others.
- Images taken on private property without permission
- Images with pedestrians
- Images linking people to a specific place and time
- Images with known identifiable individuals in the background
These will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
3. Accuracy and Integrity
Users must not intentionally submit misleading, fraudulent, or manipulated
media. This includes:
- Altered images or video
- Staged incidents
- False metadata or timestamps
- Artificially generated content intended to deceive
Autowa may remove or reject any submission suspected of manipulation.
4. Safety and Harassment Prevention
Autowa must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, or target individuals.
Users may not:
- Upload media intended to shame or target a person
- Use Autowa to track individuals
- Submit repeated content about a specific vehicle for harassment
Violations may result in account suspension or removal.
5. Device Capture Rules (Future Feature)
When device deployment becomes available, users must ensure:
- Devices are placed only in lawful, permitted locations
- Devices do not record private property or individuals
- Devices capture only public roadway activity
Autowa may delete any device-generated content that violates these rules.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
Autowa may review, moderate, or delete submissions at any time. Autowa may:
- Remove prohibited content
- Reject submissions that violate this Policy
- Suspend accounts for repeated violations
- Report illegal content when required by law
Moderation decisions are final.
7. Retention of Submissions
Submission data is retained indefinitely as part of Autowa's operational
record. Users cannot request deletion of submissions except when content
violates this Policy or applicable law.
8. Updates to This Policy
Autowa may update this Policy at any time. Continued use of the service
constitutes acceptance of updated rules.
